I'm still here! I have to admit, the past year has been a complete 360 turn around for me. I hope you can forgive me, I look forward to what i have to share with you in the future! During my absence from the blogosphere, it only recently dawned on me how much beauty meant to me. As a sufferer of depression for many years now, I have a feeling that being able to blog about something i'm completely passionate about, will help soothe and guide me through the more difficult times. I suppose this will be some kind of experiment to see if writing and sharing tips and advice will be able to aid me to a complete recovery. So as they say, watch this space!

SPRINGTIME SCENTS!

My current favourite spring time scents!
Prada infusion d'iris, versace bright crystal, &otherstories rose revival body mist!
A quick readers note: I would reccomend wearing either versace or the body mist during the day as both are very light and floral, the prada d'iris however, is more intense and would work perfectly for after work dinner/drinks,as you only need a few squirts to last the entire evening.
ALL PINK TOO!

BEAUTY EDIT #1 APRIL14

Can we all sit down for a minute to have a discussion about this unexpected beauty saviour!? I have seen countless blogs mention lots of great things about coconut oil and coconut water. I read recently in a YOU magazine supplement discussing the many benefits of the coconut, that not only is coconut water great for re-hydrating after a vigorous workout and for general hydration (it hydrates faster than normal water due to its electrolytes) the oil is great in baking, cooking and for putting into smoothies too!
Coconut oil is so diverse that you can even plop a bit into your morning cuppa, and most importantly integrate it into all areas of your beauty regime.
It's high Lauric acid content means it helps to boost immunity and helps with poor sluggish digestion, and we all know that poor digestion and immunity can show up on our skin.

I write about Coconut oil in a Beauty context because if YOU magazine took the time to write a feature on it then it was worth a go, despite my reservations of it being an OIL! Please rest assured it is an absolute miracle. Why i hear you ask? Let me tell you.
For a regular sufferer of chronic acne, I had almost given up the quest to find the ultimate product, I have suffered from acne from ages thirteen, right into my twenties, and it's not hot. I obviously came to learn that acne is a sign that something much deeper is going on inside, so dealing with some much needed lifestyle changes (going vegan, cutting out gluten) I decided to give coconut oil a try. After years of spending unforgivable amounts of cash on similar products with different brand names, I wanted to get rid of all products with more than a few ingredients listed - a skin vacation so to speak. The results were astonishing. I regret not taking photos of before and after, but this oil really does work for problematic skin. Deep lines, lumps, bumps, acne scars and any potential break outs are kept at bay, even skin tone seems to be evening out, this is only after a month of using the oil!

Double cleansing, as I'm sure you all know is such a simple, yet effective technique for cleansing skin as deeply as possible on a daily basis. Even if you don't wear make up, double cleansing, especially with an oil is a sure way to keep break outs at bay. I double cleanse twice daily, and I even use coconut oil as a moisturiser at night and as an eye cream!(I even give myself a coconut oil facial lymphatic drainage massage once fortnightly)
For £8 from PAKs Cosmetics or any reputable food shop you can't really go wrong! I'd highly recommend this cruelty free and cost effective product.
Eat it, use it as a shaving balm, hair conditioner, massage oil, the possibilities are genuinely endless. This is why I'm giving coconut oil AND water a 10/10!

I'm excited to share this preview of great things to come from new digital magazine The New British founded by the Kez Glozier and Neville Brody. I've been fortunate enough to hold the printed version in my very own hands and it was a true pleasure and a blessing to be able to experience such novel and inovative art in print. Kez is a true visionary master, he's definitely one to watch. I want more.
